1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using GameTrace ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
GameTrace is operated by GameTrace LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our").
2. Description of Service
GameTrace provides:
- Video upload and hosting
- Video playback
- Telestration and clip creation
- Share links for viewing selected content
- Team-based collaboration tools
The Service is intended for use by coaches, team managers, and authorized team members.
3. Account Registration
To use certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate information
- Maintain security of your login credentials
- Notify us of unauthorized use
You are responsible for activity under your account.
4. Team Accounts & Permissions
Each team account:
- Has an owner responsible for billing and permissions
- May invite additional users
- Controls access to uploaded content
GameTrace enforces permission levels at the team level.
5. Content Ownership
5.1 Your Content
You retain ownership of all video, annotations, and related materials you upload ("User Content").
By uploading content, you grant GameTrace a limited license to:
- Host
- Process
- Store
- Display
- Transmit content solely to provide the Service
5.2 Responsibility
You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to upload and share any content.
You may not upload content that:
- Violates copyright
- Violates privacy laws
- Is illegal, abusive, or defamatory
6. Youth Content & Parental Responsibility
GameTrace may be used to upload youth sports footage. You represent that:
- You have appropriate authority from your team/organization to upload footage.
- You have obtained any necessary parental permissions required by your organization.
GameTrace does not independently verify consent.
7. Share Links
Share links:
- Allow access to specific videos or clips
- May be public or restricted
- Are controlled by the team account
You are responsible for distribution of share links. GameTrace is not responsible for unauthorized redistribution once a link is shared.
8. Subscription & Billing
8.1 Paid Plans
Certain features require a paid subscription. Plans may include:
- Storage limits
- Retention periods
- User limits
8.2 Payment
Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled.
8.3 Storage Limits
If a team exceeds its storage allocation:
- Uploads may be blocked
- Access may be limited until upgraded
9. Data Retention
GameTrace may delete content:
- If storage limits are exceeded
- If retention period expires
- If account is terminated
- If subscription lapses
We are not responsible for content deleted due to plan limits.
10. Usage Limits
GameTrace may apply reasonable usage limits to video playback and sharing features, including limits on the number of views for shared content, in order to ensure reliable service and prevent abuse.
These limits are designed to support typical team usage (such as coaches sharing clips with players and parents). If usage exceeds normal patterns, access to certain shared content may be temporarily restricted.
GameTrace reserves the right to modify or enforce these limits at any time to maintain platform performance and stability.
11. Prohibited Use
You may not:
- Reverse engineer the platform
- Attempt unauthorized access
- Use the platform for non-sports commercial video hosting
- Upload illegal content
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that:
- Violate these Terms
- Fail to pay subscription fees
- Engage in abusive or fraudulent behavior
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee:
- Continuous uptime
- Error-free operation
- Permanent storage beyond plan limits
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, GameTrace is not liable for:
- Lost data
- Lost revenue
- Indirect or consequential damages
Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the prior 12 months.
15. Communications
By creating an account, you agree to receive transactional emails related to your account and use of the Service, including account verification, security alerts, billing notifications, and service updates.
You may separately opt in to receive marketing communications such as product updates, tips, and announcements. You can change your marketing email preferences at any time from your account settings or by using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
Opting out of marketing emails does not affect transactional emails required for the operation of your account.
16. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
